Needless to say everyone was pretty tired last night after the long travel day. Though there were a few that were still a little wired.
The morning started with a great breakfast followed by our daily solitude time. Every morning this week students will be given the opportunity to spend 10-15 minutes just by themselves to think, pray, read, journal. Creating space in our lives to listen, pray can really help set the day for us.
We then divided into three worksites…concrete, setting basketball hoops, and hanging drywall. Everyone worked great and worked well together. You’d be proud of them. Though many got plenty dirty, they enjoyed what they were doing.
Then a few spent time with the smaller children drawing pictures whilst teaching English and learning Spanish. The children and the students were both learners and teachers

Tonight we had a great dinner and some needed down time.
Tomorrow we will be in the same worksites as we have more concrete to pour, continue work on the drywall and basketball court.
It did get pretty hot and very sunny today so everyone has gotten some sun.
