Each day so far when we wake up there is marine layer fog that eventually burns off by 9:30 am. Then it gets hot.
Today was another day of concrete, drywall and painting.
The drywall/ paint crew continued to mud and tape the house while another group painted the outside of the house. They were almost done with one 5 gallon bucket of paint when they realized the other paint didn’t match. But thankfully they had enough paint to finish the front and side of the house. We will see what we can do with the back side tomorrow.
The concrete crew continued pouring concrete. It’s hard labor, but many of the students are enjoying the hard work and getting dirty. Others are ready for a change tomorrow. But they’ve done great!
This afternoon we again divided and spent time with the children at the day care and sent a van out to deliver much needed food to families in need. The daycare is building relationships with the families in the community so they know who is in need.
Tomorrow will be similar to today. We have had some great discussions and students have been asking some really good questions as well.
I apologize for the lack of photos today. The cell phone and internet is always dependable here. Hopefully to have more posted tomorrow.
